I believe that diversity brings better creativity, more belonging, and better outcomes.

As a second generation Filipina American scholar and practitioner, I care about changing systems that have advantaged some while disadvantaging others. I believe this work needs to be done in community, preferably while sharing a good meal.

 
 

About Dr. del Rosario

After serving over 20 years in urban youth ministry, Dr. Joyce del Rosario is now an assistant Professor at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA.  She is a seasoned non-profit director and academic who teaches practical skills in faith-based community development and activism. She has 20+ years of experience working toward diversity, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented groups in multi-national, national, and locally based organizations. In her research and work, she seeks to transform systems that have advantaged some while disadvantaging others by centering the voices of the marginalized. Her favorite activity is sharing delicious food with friends and family.
